Hey, hey, hey!
I took a bit of a break from Facebook, and most other places, except for Twitter, because Twitter is all that is good and habit forming for me, so .... Don't judge. But I am back ,and with goodies, plus some news. Let's get started. So for the next several days, we're gonna have lots to look forward to. Let's start it out with the fact you can add Always: A Legacy Novel on Goodreads. Add it to your TBR. You're gonna see the date for release just says "October." I don't wanna get hopes up, but damn I do hope it's sooner for you all, that's what I'm gonna say. But onto something funner ... I'm sharing the playlist for Always, although it's simply marked as Cross + Catherine because really, that's just how it is. Playlists are not usually so important for my books/process. I make them, but they're never really the first thing on my mind. I don't include them in the book's front or back matter. I certainly DON'T listen to music while I write, it messes with my process. Let's just say all that went out the window with this first book--this music was constant. Music was a BIG part of this book while I wrote it, how I wrote it, and why I wrote certain pieces the way I did inside the book. The first song in a playlist is most important, in my opinion. It sets a tone for the novel, and an expectation. I struggled between Bad Things by Machine Gun Kelly ft Camila Cabello or Jeff Buckley's version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. I settled on Hallelujah, for this verse here, that he wrote specifically for his cover of the song: "Well there was a time when you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show that to me do ya But remember when I moved in you And the holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah" BUT -- DO listen to Bad Things (this one especially), and I Have Questions, because those were some of the top ones, too, really. Playlist is down below. If for some reason, the video player does not work, go HERE. Something VERY fun comes this way tomorrow ...
Hugs, loves.
